Introduction

ThePwned.com is an active multi-gaming community with a global playerbase. We host and manage a handful of game servers, but we can be found playing many different games together. We aren't a clan, we are simply a group of like-minded gamers looking to have some fun. Join ThePwned.

Once Upon a Time

ThePwned.com was started October of 2007 by me (3z) in a small dark bedroom. My first server was for Counter Strike Source and it was dedicated to my favorite map, Scoutzknivez. Since then, that server has tranformed into that we all know as the Playground, and it undoubtedly maintains the best location to play fun, weird and obscure maps.

The Expansion

As more and more players became regulars, there was a demand for a new server, but I didn't have a whole lot of experience as a server owner yet, so I was clueless as to what my next step should be. That's when Shaundakul and LegoBro approached me with a proposition. They had a new clan, with impressive numbers, but no server to call their own. They asked if I would sponsor their newly formed clan STFU, and host a server for them. In exchange, I could reap the benefits that come from having a populated server. I agreed, we started STFU Zombiemod, and it was a deal that would forever change thepwned.

Just as they promised, the STFU clan filled the server day after day, and it became a thriving zombiemod server. Ultimately, it forced me to learn much more about mods, scripts, maps and server management than I previously cared to. But I used this new knowledge to open a succession of servers, all of which did well in their prime, and all of which I was proud to be apart of.

Nowadays

These days, I play a much smaller role in the community. It's too large for one person to manage. I respect others who have taken the initiative to lead. I merely supply the platform if they choose that path.

We love it when players choose our servers to game on, but it's not our only goal. More important to us is creating a central place for like-minded gamers to congregate, share, laugh, discuss, play and grow. Game on!
